Constance Schultz - Poems (3)
Trees We Can See From Our House
and the trees
are just for us
they dress up now
in shades of green
are decorated
with doves
some bare branches
peek
but the rest
are rich
decorating our view
Heat Wave
white was at the
top of the sky
and toward
earth
the color of melon
still hot air
almost august
dirt
and feelings hot
to go with the
heat wave
that is coming
can we calm it down
before then
Summer Rain
what if she thought
what if
and it rained
a storm
deluge
upon
caked earth
yes
and it would not be absorbed
hard
as cooked clay
holding the water
as much as it could
riding on the top
