Reade Calderwood - Poem

These Outer Valences

Being outside
It's mostly the spaces you see
The different distances you measure
And it all just seems to span out from where you walk

These outer
and inner valences are a portal
Not just to the view you measure
But to all that has applicability to your life

When you're outside, or roadside,
Keeping it linked to the traits of the hour,
Features start to pop out at you
Like when there's a patch of violet if you look real close.
