Nocturne

Snow settles on
the mountain I trailed
so long.

How soon we have
lost each other.

Voyage

Walking across
the garden of my
childhood—

I long for flowers
that can open me
up again.

Benediction

By the sun’s tender
light—

autumn leaves sing
in a voice

that only our souls
understand.

Communion

In a forest
where birds sing
of their sorrows—

sunlight falls
on our hands like
water.

Reflection

Like
autumn birds—

we walk
down a path strewn

with leaves
that cannot speak.

Sonata

No one knows where
it goes—

the river in whose
waters

even stones sing
of joy.
